hello, world

i’m angely, and i like to help people, make cool things, and ask questions

about me

I’m a recent University of Florida graduate with a background in philosophy and computer science. I took up a lot of leadership roles during my time as an undergrad, and right now, I work in local government where I help administer the Housing Choice Voucher program. These experiences have all allowed me to impact lives daily, which is more responsibility than I ever thought I’d have, and it made me care deeply about how systems are designed. From overseeing a massive mentorship program to l ate-night coding projects to knowing the right community resource to direct someone to, I’ve learned that at the core of every field is a need for competency, creativity, and passion for the work. And luckily, I’m a competent and creative woman with many passions.

Outside of work, I enjoy making art (digital art/animation), working on coding projects, reading philosophy texts, and loving my dog and cat, Chip and Miss Kitty. I also love connecting with the community through volunteer work and events. I’m currently using my free time to build my technical skills and broaden both my art and coding portfolios. Specifically, I use this time to work on one of three larger-scale projects: one of which is a purely creative pursuit (think storyboard, universe-building narrative) called Yda and Bob, a content-based project called Philosophy in your Twenties (working title), and building and updating this website. I hope learning a bit more about me has helped you think about how you can add creativity to your life!
